Gregory Ahss





  • Israeli violinist Gregory Ahss began his training at the Gnessin School of Music in his native Moscow, continuing studies at the Israeli Conservatory of Music and at the Tel Aviv Music Academy with Lena Mazor and Irina Svetlova. He graduated from the New England Conservatory in Boston where he studied with Donald Weilerstein
  • As a soloist he appeared with conductors Claudio Abbado, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Teodor Kurretzis and Daniel Blendulf with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Orchestra Mozart, the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and Camerata Salzburg
  • Among his chamber music partners are Natalia Gutman, Janine Jansen, Vilde Frang, James Ehnes, Lawrence Power, Emmanuel Pahud, Gautier Capuçon, Nicolas Altstaed, Alexander Melnikov and Sabine Meyer
  • He is concertmaster of Camerata Salzburg and the Lucerne Festival Orchestra
