Was born in Djibouti and grew up in Cholet, a small town in western France where he received his first guitar lessons at age nine;
Studied at the Conservatoire de Nantes with Michel Grizard and continued his studies in 2015 with Roland Dyens and Tristan Manoukian at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris; also took lessons with Judicaël Perroy;
His international breakthrough followed winning the Guitar Foundation of America (GFA) International Concert Artist Competition in 2018; before that, he also won prizes in Spain, France, Portugal and the Czech Republic;
Toured Europe, Brazil, Argentina, the United States and Canada;
Was declared a ‘classical discovery’ by French performers’ rights organisation Adami in 2021;
Signed an exclusive contract with Deutsche Grammophon in September 2022 and his debut CD ‘Visages Baroques’ was released in March 2023.
