Janine Jansen shines with her international music friends at anniversary edition

At the end of this year, artistic director and soloist Janine Jansen will provide the International Chamber Music Festival Utrecht with the musical bouncer of the year. For the extra special twentieth edition, the top violinist is bringing well-known international chamber music friends to Utrecht, including pianist Denis Kozhukhin, violinists Boris Brovtsyn and Clara-Jumi Kang, clarinettist Martin Fröst and violists Amihai Grosz and Timoty Ridout. Very diverse repertoire from the treasure trove of chamber music will be heard between Christmas and New Year’s Eve: from early classical and baroque to lesser-known twentieth-century and contemporary repertoire where genres are also transcended. Tickets for the Opening Concert on Wednesday, December 27, are already on sale through the TivoliVredenburg website. Ticket sales will start in phases. Full ticket sales will start in October.
