In the forests of the Balkans you could find maples worth their weight in gold. You could turn this magical wood into an invaluable musical instrument: a violin as prestigious as an original Stradivarius. Violin maker Gaspar Borchardt has had this mission since he cycled through Bosnia in his twenties and then found the most perfect tree he had ever seen. He was unable to take the wood with him at the time, but is determined to find it again and turn it into a violin for the world-famous violinist Janine Jansen.
