Studied organ with Cor Kee, piano with Gérard van Blerk and harpsichord with Lenie van der Lee at the Utrecht Conservatory;
Obtained the Prix d’Excellence for organ (1970);
Was cantor-organist of the Oude Kerk in Soest;
From 1987-2011 organist of the Dom Church in Utrecht, also conducted the Saturday afternoon concerts together with the Domcantorij led by Remco de Graas;
Was correpetitor and teacher of general theory subjects at the Utrecht Conservatory;
Recorded numerous CDs, including an integral recording of Mendelssohn’s organ works, Johann Sebastian Bach’s chorale partitas and a CD of works by César Franck;
Appointed Knight of the Order of Orange-Nassau in 2011.
