Timothy Ridout studied at the Royal Academy of Music graduating with the Queen’s Commendation for Excellence.
Sought after as a chamber musician Timothy has collaborations with Benjamin Grosvenor, Frank Dupree, Frans Helmerson, Christian Tetzlaff, Isabelle Faust, Quatuor Arod, Joshua Bell and Kian Soltani.
He won 1st Prize in the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition in 2016, was selected by Young Classical Artists Trust in 2016 and is currently at the Kronberg Academy with Nobuko Imai. In 2018 he took part in Kronberg Academy’s Chamber Music Connects the World.
Timothy plays a viola by Peregerino di Zanetto c.1565-75 generously on loan from Beares International Violin Society.
