After four exciting festival days, you can enjoy the creme de la creme of the international chamber music elite one more time! Tonight they will once again play some highlights from the canon of chamber music with works by Schubert and Mendelssohn, absolute grandmasters of writing heavenly chamber music. Janine herself closes her festival with Franck’s Piano Quintet which French musicologist Jean Gallois said the following about:’What an admirable masterpiece! After analysing it, you have to forget everything you wanted to write down in order to surrender to this poem that is so intensely dramatic and which, in its three movements, contains more music than a complete opera.’ Therefore, the perfect finale to this special anniversary edition of the International Chamber Music Festival 2023!
