The International Chamber Music Festival Utrecht is the unsurpassed culmination of the music year. Every December, top violinist and artistic booster Janine Jansen sprinkles music surprises during a festival full of concert highlights. For the extra festive twentieth edition, she is bringing over chamber music friends from all over the world, including pianist Denis Kozhukhin, violinist Boris Brovtsyn and viola player Amihai Grosz.

Dream Fest
In 2003 Dutch violinist Janine Jansen created her own dream festival with the International Chamber Music Festival Utrecht. Because making chamber music is best done with trusted comrades. In the beginning, Jansen’s chamber music festival was still small-scale but quickly grew into an important classical music event.

Chamber music treasury
Jansen has since built up an impressive circle of musical acquaintances. She knocks on the doors of international chamber music friends who are only too happy to join her at the Utrecht music festival. During Christmas and New Year’s Eve, top musicians delve into the treasury of chamber music to their heart’s content. From romanticism and Viennese classical to unknown twentieth-century and meditative impressionism. In TivoliVredenburg the year will be celebrated with chamber music par excellence.
