Zvi Plesser
  • Israeli cellist, active as a performing musician, teacher and artistic director
  • Performed solo with orchestras such as the Berliner Philharmoniker, Israel Camerata, Academy of Ancient Music, Symphoniker Hamburg and the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra
  • Is professor of cello and chamber music on the faculty of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance
  • Artistic director of Voice of Music Festival in Kfar Blum (since 2011); Israel’s oldest chamber music festival
  • Regularly performs with cellist Hillel Zori with his own arrangements of Bach’s Cello Suites for two cellos
  • Played a lot of chamber music, including with the captains of the Berliner Philharmoniker; was a member of the Huberman Quartet and co-founder of ensemble Concertante
  • Was prizewinner of the Washington International Competition and the Francoise Shapira Competition
  • Studied with Zara Nelsova, Zvi Harel and David Soyer
